The Summit After Party: relax and share your experiences
The Summit doesn’t end once the speakers have left the stage… come and let loose at our After Party at Metronome.
Relax after an inspiring day with like-minded professionals, share your experiences, make new connections, and catch up with some of the speakers and exhibitors. It’s a great chance to socialise and share the gems from the day.
Enjoy live music from one of Nottingham’s finest funk bands, Chai, and one of the most exciting new names in jazz, Dave Beardsworth.
We’ll get the party started with a couple of free drinks and recharge your spirits with some delicious complimentary food thanks to our friends at Hallam.
If you haven’t been there before, Metronome has one of the best sound systems in the Midlands, DJ sessions, and a buzzing atmosphere. And we can all get a bit of fresh air and exercise during the 13-minute guided walk along Parliament Street from The Albert Hall to Metronome.
CHAI is one of Nottingham’s finest funk soul bands featuring members of The Invisible Orchestra. You’ll soon see why this act has been supported by BBC Introducing and headlined stages at Dot to Dot festival. Recently new track ‘Wise words’ was Kemet FM’s Track of the Week. “A proper soulful experience. A huge voice and some well intricate and ear raising musicianship.” NUSIC
One of the most exciting new names in Jazz, Pete Beardsworth is a saxophonist influenced by soul, Latin jazz and Afrobeat. His music has been played by Worldwide FM and BBC Radio 6Music with Gilles Peterson describing him as brilliant. He is the go-to sax player in Nottingham with everyone from Yazmin Lacey, Three Body Trio and Manière des Bohémiens snapping him up to play alongside them.
Team Hallam will be leading human walking trains for the easy 13-minute walk along Parliament Street to Metronome.
Just keep an eye out for the red Hallam flags and we can walk over together.
