You’ve raised over £16,000 for Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum!

We did it! We’ve collectively raised a jaw-dropping £16,716 (and 66p) for our charity of the year, the Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum.
Thanks to our sponsors and to all our attendees who bought tickets, the Nottingham Digital Summit was able to raise £16,716.66 in donations. The donations will be used by NNRF to provide vital services for refugees and asylum seekers, in and around the Nottingham area.

The huge amount of funds raised from the event will help NNRF to continue offering fantastic support, advice and friendship to refugees and asylum seekers in the Nottingham area.
NNRF’s Volunteer Manager, Barbara Dhliwayo, said: “This amount will help us to continue providing vital services to refugees and asylum seekers in Nottingham, so we’re very grateful to all who attended and sponsored the Nottingham Digital Summit. We loved attending the event ourselves and it was great to see the pride that many of you felt that your participation supported a local charity, too. From everyone at NNRF, a massive thank you for the generous donation.”
The money will help to fund numerous projects the NNRF run that all centre around a core goal of integrating refugees into the Nottinghamshire community. Projects include the Children and Families project, which in the past has involved weekly play sessions for children, and trips to mainstream places in the community, such as the pantomime and Nottingham Castle. Other projects include increasing the employability of those seeking help, by providing mock interviews, CV writing classes, and conversational ESOL English classes.
Alongside the cash donation, Hallam will continue to support NNRF by allowing them to host training sessions and team meetings in their offices.
Hallam’s Managing Director, Jake Third, said: “As a B Corp business, we take pride in helping our local community and using business as a force for good. We hope to set an example to other businesses, and encourage them to do the same by reaching out to local charities. There is so much we can do that doesn’t cost much yet has such a positive impact on our communities.”
Thank you again to everyone for all your support, your generous donations will help rebuild the lives of so many. Until next year!
