Meet Emmanuel House: the charity you’re supporting this year

If there’s one thing that sets us apart from other digital marketing conferences around the world, we’re proud that it’s our commitment to having a positive impact on the local community and the lives within it.
In the same vein as every Nottingham Digital Summit gone before, the proceeds from this year’s event will go straight to our charity of the year – this time it’s local Nottingham charity, Emmanuel House.
About the charity
Emmanuel House supports people in Nottingham, who are homeless, rough sleeping, in a crisis, or at risk of homelessness. As an independent charity, they’re in constant need of donations from businesses and individuals in order to continue doing their life-changing work – and that’s where you come in. By purchasing a ticket to the Nottingham Digital Summit this year, you’ll be directly benefiting the lives of their service users.
Lauren Howatson, Marketing and Fundraising Officer at Emmanuel House, said: “We’re so excited that Hallam has chosen us as their charity partner. Corporate supporters play a massive part in our marketing and fundraising efforts and we’re really proud to be working with such a skilled and talented organisation. As an independent charity, we rely on generous donations, so receiving the proceeds from this year’s Nottingham Digital Summit is huge for us and will allow us to continue delivering the life-saving services our users so desperately need.”
Emmanuel House runs a support centre in the city that offers access to basic amenities, like showers, clean clothes and hot food to service users, which they’d otherwise go without.
As well as providing these basic needs, they also offer more long-term support to service users, such as arranging and attending hospital appointments, providing tenancy support for those at risk of repeat homelessness, arranging haircuts from professional barbers and offering vital mental health support.
Jake Third, our Managing Director, said: “I’m excited we’re supporting Emmanuel House this year and all the incredible work they do. The aim is to raise as much as possible for the charity and I can’t thank our attendees and sponsors enough for the much-needed donations that will no doubt have a profound positive impact on the amount of support Emmanuel House is able to provide.”
Get involved
Last year, we raised a huge £16,000 for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum, and we have every intention of beating that amount this year – but we can only do so with your help.
Our sponsorship packages provide a life changing amount for service users – get in touch to find the different kinds we have to offer.
